The terms of wong cloud: what it is, what you pay, how to cancel and get a refund.

These terms cover wong cloud, the hosted version of wong. wong itself is open source, and running it on your own server is free and outside these terms. Last updated on 5 November 2026.

The service

wong cloud keeps your wong brain for you, in the European Union, and syncs it between your machines. You sign in with GitHub. It is in beta: we work to keep it running and your data safe, but we do not promise a level of availability.

Trial, and when it ends

While wong cloud is in beta by invitation, accounts are free. When the beta ends, every account that does not subscribe gets 14 days free, without a card. When the trial, or later a subscription, ends without a payment, your brain stays read-only for 30 days, so you can still read it and take it with you; then we delete it, and its backups within 7 days. wong tells you before, in the dashboard and at the start of your agents' sessions; we do not email you.

Your notes

Your notes are yours, and they are end-to-end encrypted: we cannot read them. Keep your recovery code safe: if you lose it and every machine that holds the key, nobody can open your notes again, not even us. You can take everything with you at any time.

Accounts have fair limits on size and use. Do not use wong cloud for anything unlawful or in a way that harms the service or other people; if you do, we may suspend your account.

Payments

wong cloud is paid monthly or yearly, taxes included. Payments are handled by Stripe, which sells the subscription on our behalf and sends your receipts; we never see your card. A subscription renews until you cancel it, which you can do at any time from your Account page; it then keeps working until the end of the period you paid for.

Refunds

If wong cloud is not for you, write to support@bytay.dev within 14 days of your first payment and we refund it in full. After that, we do not refund the unused part of a period, unless the law where you live says otherwise or the service failed you.

Ending

You can delete your account at any time from its Account page: we delete it at once, with your notes, and its backups within 7 days. Cancel your subscription first if you have one. If we ever stop running wong cloud, we will tell you at least 30 days before and stop charging you.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we will tell you in wong at least 30 days before. Nothing here limits your rights under consumer law.
