What each release of wong brings. Binaries, checksums and the full list of commits are on GitHub's releases page.

v0.1.2

2026-10-29. Fewer false alarms when an agent saves a note.

  • The check that runs as an agent saves a note proposes an issue as a source only when its Linear team is known: from the teams wong check last read from Linear, or from the linear: sources your notes already declare. A license like AGPL-3.0 or an example key no longer passes for an issue.
  • It proposes as sources only files the repo tracks, not files git ignores.

v0.1.1

2026-10-29. Setting a machine up is one line.

  • A one-line install: curl -fsSL https://wong.bytay.dev/install.sh | sh -s -- <server-url> downloads the release for the machine, checks it against the release’s checksums, puts wong on the PATH and runs wong setup.
  • wong setup installs the wong plugin for Claude Code, and without a url it sets the machine up on its own; run it again with one to connect a server later.

v0.1.0

2026-10-29. The first public release.

  • The brain: wong import brings Claude Code’s memory into one folder per project plus me/, and wong link points Claude Code at it. wong setup does both against a server in one go.
  • Checks: wong check compares every note with the files, commits, Linear issues and notes it cites, and with the deploys it waits for.
  • The plugin: four Claude Code hooks bring the right notes into each session, show the notes that cite a file before an edit, check each note an agent saves, and sync the brain when a session ends; the maintain-brain skill tells agents how to fix what went stale.
  • The server: wong serve syncs machines without overwriting, keeps every version, turns GitHub and Linear webhooks into tasks, and serves a dashboard with a graph view and MCP.
  • Obsidian: the brain opens as a vault, and wong obsidian exports and imports vaults.
  • Distribution: binaries for Linux, macOS and Windows, and a Docker image on ghcr.io/17tayyy/wong.
