How wong compares.

Agent memory comes in four shapes today. wong takes something from each, and adds what they leave out: notes checked against the issues and deploys they talk about, and fixed by your own agents.

When something else fits better.

You want every session recorded
A memory server with an observer, such as claude-mem, captures what happens as it happens. wong keeps what the agent judges worth keeping, so the brain stays small enough to check.
You are building memory into an app
Hosted memory services such as mem0 give an app semantic search over its users' facts. wong is memory for your coding agents, not an API for your product.
You work in one repo on one machine
Claude Code's own memory may be all you need. wong pays off once a product spans several repos, machines or agents.
